Inter Milan v Liverpool
This could be the matchup that produces the most fireworks in the Round of 16.
Inter Milan probably aren’t at the heights of the Serie A Championship they won last season but are still 2nd on the table and the leading goal scorers with 55 so far. Their attacking style could be a double edged sword for them over the two legs, with Liverpool so strong on the counter attack and creating chances from turnovers.
The Reds are flying. They have a full squad bar Divock Origi to pick from, they haven’t lost a game since December and they’ll feel comfortable playing away after their visit in the group stage against AC Milan. Despite their victories, however, their defence has been a bit leaky and teams haven’t been able to take advantage of getting in 1 on 1 against the GK Allison. Inter aren’t shy of attacking, and they’ll get their chances in this one.

Getting anything over $2 for Liverpool in any game seems a great bet but with the Liverpool defence not quite at their absolute best, Over 2.5 goals looks the play here and a small bet on Over 3.5 also looks good.

Red Bull Salzburg v Bayern Munich
What else can you say about Bayern. They’re the favourites to win the Champions League, they’re leading the Bundesliga once again and it’s hard to see how anyone stops them. So is there any hope for Salzburg?
Their two meetings in the group stage last year resulted in two defeats for them and losing on aggregate 9-3. Expect something similar here.

Bayern did have a small slip up on the weekend against Bochum, conceding four goals in the first half but if anything, it’ll just give them a reminder that they can’t take this one-off. Take the class here and back Bayern -1.
