Top 3 Wednesday Games
Boston vs Philadelphia
The Celtics have found their groove, winning their last 9/10 games. It’s not known yet whether their new acquisition Daniel Theis will play but they’ve got to be feeling comfortable about where they sit right now as we get close to the All Star Break.
The 76ers won’t have James Harden yet, who has been ruled out until after the All Star Break but should have Paul Millsap who will help their big man rotation.
TIP: Boston -1.5.
With Philly still a few scorers short of their full potential, it sets up well for the Celtics here. Take them -1.5.
LA Clippers v Phoenix Suns
The Clippers were brilliant in their win over the Warriors last night but it doesn’t get any easier here for them against the Suns.
Kennard is questionable again, Powell won’t play and despite their strength in versatility, this one will be a step too far for them.
It’s the brutal part of the NBA for teams when they have to face a B2B like this but I’m sure the Suns don’t care about that.
TIP: Suns -12.5.
Take the Suns at -12.5 and to keep cruising through the West.
Mavericks v Heat
It looks like the Mavs will be able to unleash Dinwiddie and Bertans who they acquired during the trade deadline. If they play, I like them to contribute right away, solely because Luka is so good at getting everyone involved.
The Heat didn’t make any moves during the trade deadline but at the top of the East, they don’t need to. Their record isn’t amazing on the road though, 18-14 compared to 19-6 in Miami.
TIP: Mavs +3.5.
This will be a tricky game for the Heat, already without Herro, and potentially Butler who is also questionable. The Mavs look like a good play at +5.5 on their home court.
