Flemington Cup

We’re back at Flemington this Saturday with the Flemington Cup over 2800m having the most prize money on offer. There could be a bit of rain around on the day but the track should come up in the soft range with luck. Let’s try and find the winner.

Queen Elizabeth Stakes: Tips and Preview

Speed Map

Horrifying has been reported to go forward and give them something to catch so expect him to be positive. Pappalino and Through Irish Eyes would probably prefer to be on speed. Bit of a lottery for the rest considering the distance but expect them to be clumped pretty close together.

Key Runners

1:jockey silksSouthern France

Hasn’t won a race since the Zipping Classic in 2019. Could bob up for a place but happy to pass.

2:jockey silksSweet Thomas

The old boy keeps fronting up and has decent form for this. Liked the Brisbane Cup run. Good place odds.

3:jockey silksThrough Irish Eyes

Came 2nd in the Brisbane Cup in a tight finish. This looks a bit easier. Kah on. Great chance.

4:jockey silksPappalino

Hasn’t shown much this prep to look like a real chance in this race.

5:jockey silks Mimi’s Award

Has been the drifter since the market’s opened. Won last start but lost on a protest. Have to respect but would prefer $6.

6:jockey silks Horrifying

Stable wants a positive ride and not to be back and buried. There’s enough variables to risk at the short price.

7:jockey silks Saint Eustace

Has copped a bit of bad luck over his career. Place chance. Monitor the betting.

9:jockey silksBlandford Lad

Decent enough form over the jumps but probably just a level below here.
